After our long awaited reservation rolled around we finally had a chance to visit The Girl and the Goat. Top Chef Stephanie Izard owns and runs this restaurant and we have been wanting to go ever since we moved here. We were not disappointed- everything was amazing! Dave and Mark each had a really delicious drink (pictured) that had some sort of tobacco in it- strange but really good. Lucky for me we ordered quite a few vegetarian options to try, but everyone else was braver and ate escargot and pig face and all kinds of strange (to me) things! 

My only complaint was that a number of the dishes we tried were all garnished with crispy fried shallots. They were delicious, but they made the dishes taste too similar. Oh, and also the price- totally worth it, but not a place we can afford to go back to often!
