Dave and I celebrated Valentines day last night because I have to work tonight. We went to one of my most favorite places ever- Sable! The first time we ever came here it was epic- The cocktails were the best we had ever had, and the food was amazing. Sadly every time we come it looses a little bit of its amazingness. We have made so many great cocktails at home this year that we are not as easily impressed as we used to be (also I didn’t choose very well last night).

However! The deviled eggs are still what dreams are made of. I could eat them every single day of my life and still not be satisfied. They are cooked perfectly, the yolks are whipped with some type of truffle amazingness and then they are topped off with a crispy black trumpet mushroom. Heaven. I wish I had more right now. I think I need to go write to Cooks Illustrated and have them get the recipe for me. 

All in all a successful Valentine’s celebration!
